Who we
are

A specialist steel fixing subcontractor. Reinforcement is the only trade we sell, and it is the only trade we take on.

We place and tie rebar for in-situ concrete: ground beams, pile caps, columns, walls and cores, slabs, cages and mesh decks, on industrial and infrastructure sites. Work comes to us two ways — gangs on day or week rates against your own steel, or a priced supply-and-fix package where we schedule, procure and fix.

The company is based in Greater Manchester and works nationwide. There is no trading counter and no yard open to visitors: gangs travel in daily in the North West and mobilise to site for the rest of the UK, with travel and accommodation agreed before we price.

We work to BS 4449 for the steel and BS 8666 for shapes, bending and scheduling. Bar marks come off your schedules, and RAMS are issued for the package before anyone starts.

How we work

Four things we hold to on every package, whatever the size of it.

  1. 01

    To the drawing

    We fix to the engineer's drawings and your bar schedules. Cover, laps and centres are design values and they come from the drawing, not from us.

  2. 02

    To the programme

    We price against your dates and work back from fixed pour dates. If a gang size will not hold the programme, we say so before we start, not during.

  3. 03

    Cards and paperwork in order

    CIS registered, insured, and RAMS issued per package before we set foot on site. Cards and qualifications are submitted with the package documentation.

  4. 04

    One trade, done properly

    We do not take groundworks, formwork or concrete. Reinforcement only, which is why a gang can be on your deck rather than split across three trades.

We publish no lap length or cover tables. Those are design values from your engineer's drawings, and generic figures invite misuse.
