Steel fixing
Reinforcement fixed to the engineer’s drawings and bar bending schedules, from ground beams to full RC frames. Take the gang against your own steel, or hand over the steel as well.

Right
before
the pour
Steel fixing is the part of the frame you cannot see once the concrete goes in. It has to be right before the pour, or it cannot be corrected afterwards.
Every element is fixed to the engineer’s drawings and bar bending schedules. Bar marks are checked against the schedule as each section goes in. Cover is held on spacers and chairs to the values on the drawing. Laps and starters go where the schedule puts them, not where they happen to fit.
Cages are tied in situ or prefabricated and craned in, whichever suits the access and the programme. The fixing sequence is worked around your formwork and pour dates, so steel is never the reason a pour slips.
If a bar does not work on site, you hear about it while there is still time to fix it, not at the pre-pour inspection.

How it runs
Four stages from the drawings landing to the steel being released for the pour.
Stage 01
Drawings and engagement
Send the reinforcement drawings, schedules if you have them, the programme and the site location. Tell us whether you want labour against your steel or supply and fix, and we come back with a rate or a package price.
Stage 02
Check and paperwork
Drawings and schedules are read against each other before the start, so queries are raised early. RAMS, insurance certificates and CSCS cards are issued before anyone sets foot on site.
Stage 03
Fix
Elements are fixed to the drawings and to your setting-out, in the order your pours need them. Bar marks, cover and laps are checked as each section goes in, not at the end.
Stage 04
Sign-off
Sections walked with your engineer and snags closed the same day. Steel released for the pour on the programme date.
